The standard Kymo is the radical freestyle kite of SKD's lineup, complete with a unique asymmetrical panel layout. Kymo sits deep in the backflip and spins rapidly during lazy susan moves, making multi-lazies and rolling susans a blast. Using the stock tailweight, the pitch speed of this design sits somewhere between the Seven (fast) and MX Comp (moderate). One-pop yoyos? No problem! The Kymo excels at crazy copters, backspins, backspin cascades, Jacobs Ladders and JL combos, cascade and slot cascade mashups, and wrapped tricks such as the lewis, 540-to-unwrap, etc.

The MX Comp is a cutting edge freestyle with an emphasis on the current trend of tricks such as the cynique and its variants. Although the panel layout resembles the MX, don't be fooled - this is a different beast altogether!
The MX Comp has a wind range of approximately 7 to 25 km/h and is designed to be a very forgiving kite, especially with respect to lazy/multilazy tricks such as the snap multilazy, multilazy inverse, and multilazy rolling cascade. With its light pull and smooth way of rolling between tricks, the potential to boost your skill set is high!
Special thanks to Peter Maternus (PAW) for his help in the development and tuning of this kite.

The MX Sport is designed to be a highly trick-capable kite that also offers good precision and speed control. Yoyo multilazies, super tight cometes, backspin cascades, yofades, rolling susans...the possibilities are endless. The MX Sport is a great introduction to the Sportkitedesign lineup and the world of boutique kite quality.

The 7.5 is an incremental update of the popular SKD Seven. A new framing scheme provides a more natural means to achieve pitch performance with less tail weight, while the new 3-point bridle emphasises tracking and cornering ability throughout the kite's wing range. A darker, more aggressive colour scheme rounds off the updates.

Ever wished for an even more deluxe version of the MXS? The Mohawk Aero is the answer!
The Aero builds upon the standard MXS with the introduction of Aerostuff Gold S lower spreaders and a unique monochrome panel layout. The Aerostuff spreaders improve the response of the kite -- how snappily it returns to shape from deflection. This improves feel and feedback during tricks, in addition to boosting tracking performance. Freesyle-wise, the Aero retains all of the positive aspects of the standard MXS -- tricks such as the Jacobs Ladder, multilazy lewis, multilazy kombo, and rolling cascade, inverse multilazy, yofades, French flic flacs (flip flops), comete cascade, etc.
The MXS Aero comes with a matching black/white sleeve with printed logo.

The standard Mohawk XS is a nimble freestyle kite with a wind range of approximately 7 to 25 km/h. Designed to be a versatile trick trainer, the Mohawk XS excels at lazy susan based moves such as the multilazy lewis, multilazy kombo, and rolling cascade, whilst also offering strong forward pitch abilities for yofades, crazy copters and French flic flacs (flip flops).
The Mohawk XS was originally designed by Robert Randolph and is now made by Sportkitedesign under license. Click here for a review; download the promo video (use VLC to play).

The ultralight Mohawk XS is the light wind sibling of the standard MXS, bringing the wind range down to approximately 4 to 12 km/h. Careful reframing and alterations to the sail design mean that the MXS UL maintain the familiar "MXS feel" and comprehensive trickability for those days of low wind. The kite offers lovely flatspin-based moves such as the 540 and mutli-slot-machine, yet retains enough pitch for one-pop yoyos, and can still be flown aggressively due to its robust frame.

The Mohawk XS Strong is a heavy duty high-wind version of the standard MXS. It's super-tough frame means that the MXS Strong won't have any problems with frame shudder throughout its wind range of approximately 10 to 30km/h. A large area of extra mylar reinforcement and full-size upper spreader APA fittings add to the kite's strength.
Tricks are still available in abundance, just like the standard and ultralight versions of the MXS. Half-axel cascades, rolling cascades, inverses, cometes, backspins and backspin cascades, yoyos and lewis combinations - you name it!
To reduce pull and forward speed, we strongly recommend fitting SKD brakes (included in the purchase price) to this kite.

The ultralight Seven retains the overall feel of the standard kite whilst extending the wind range down to approximately 3 to 15 km/h. The ultralight provides a slower, slightly more "floaty" feel in flatspin tricks, yet retains enough pitch speed for easy one-pop yoyos.

The super ultralight (SUL) Seven is the result of concerted efforts to produce the lightest possible version of the kite whilst still retaining a comprehensive trick repertoire. Like the ultralight Seven, the SUL is far more than a simple reframe of the standard kite; the SUL Seven features:
The SUL weighs almost 20% less than the ultralight Seven, meaning that you can keep on tricking as the wind dies away. Despite the SUL's significantly reduced weight, there are no large, annoying deadspots in the flare/fade that can often affect SULs. Moreover, the kite will readily one-pop yoyo and fly with a feel that's familiar to current Seven owners!

The Seven Vent will have you covered on those high wind days, with a wind range of approximately 10 to 30 km/h. This version of the Seven features sets of reinforced venting holes that help reduce pull and moderate the kite's forward speed. To suppplement the venting, SKD wind brakes are included in the purchase price.
In designing the Seven Vented, SKD deliberately chose modest amounts of venting to avoid the "mushy" feeling that is typical of heavily vented kites. In this way, the Seven Vented maintains a large trick repetoire, including a stable fade. Owners can further reduce pull and forward speed by fitting the included wind brakes - along the spreaders for maximum braking effect, or along the standoffs for a smaller reduction in pull.

The standard Seven provides solid feedback on the lines, with a wind range of approximately 5 to 25 km/h. This version is a great entry point into the Sportkitedesign range due to its versatile flight performance and wide wind range. The ultralight Eco7 retains the overall feel of the standard kite whilst extending the wind range down to approximately 3 to 15 km/h. The ultralight provides a slower, slightly more "floaty" feel in flatspin tricks, yet retains enough pitch speed for easy one-pop yoyos. This is the Eco7 version of the Seven -- it has a streamlined panel layout and lower price point.
